Giving Back

With the considerable growth in membership in the past few years.  We now have the ability, and desire to give back to the community.

  • Over the last few years we have offered college scholarships to high school graduates who are seeking a careers in environmental or outdoor studies.  This year we had 4 excellent applicants, each will receive $1250.00!
  • We also provide scholarships for youth that would like to attend summer camps that are owned and operated by the Michigan United Conservation Club.
  • We recently donated $5000.00 to the Village of Fruitport for renovations to the boat launch and playground at Pamona Park.
  • We recently donated $1500.00 to the Village of Fruitport to replace the large flag pole located at the I96/US31 interchange, and at the township office.
  • We are affiliated with, and financially support, the Michigan Untied Conservation Club, for its ongoing efforts in conservation statewide.
  • We sponsor 2 area charter boats each year for a local salmon derby for military veterans.
  • We provide funding to the Muskegon County Fair Association to sponsor the youth shooting sports competition and awards for those events.
  • We put on an annual fundraising banquet.
